We are excited to announce that our Scholastic Book Fair will be taking place next week! If you have not already, you will soon be receiving a flyer. This is a wonderful opportunity for students, parents, and staff to explore a wide selection of books and educational materials. Here are a few important details to keep in mind: For Students: -Students with money are welcome to shop any time EXCEPT during their grade levels WIN time. We want to ensure they have the flexibility to visit the Book Fair at times that fit their teachers schedules. -Students who are shopping during other grade levels WIN time will need a pass. Since there will be a lot of movement in the hall during WIN time, we want to ensure we don't have students "shopping" without permission from their classroom teacher. For Parents: Parents are encouraged to come and shop with their children anytime during the school day or during parent-teacher conferences. Lunch time would be a great time to eat with your cuild and ahop at the Book Fair. We hope this will be a great way for families to participate and support our Book Fair.

4th grade conducted an experiment today to learn about “Energy Transfer” by placing hot water in cups made of different materials, and then soaking the same cup in cold water. Students had to take temperatures of the water, before and after the ice bath, to see which material transferred thermal energy (heat) the best! ☕️

We look forward to seeing all of our families on Monday morning. Students needing to be dropped off can be dropped off on 17th Street where Mr. Horton and Ms. Brainerd will be waiting. Just a reminder, learning starts at 7:45. If your learner needs to eat breakfsst at school (which is free, by the way) please have them here by 7:20 to give them plenty of time to eat. Again, we look forward to seeing all the smiles (and maybe some tears from our kinder parents...dont worry, we will take great care of them). Thank you for trusting us with your most valuable asset!

Good afternoon, Field Day shirts will be going home with students today. There were a few orders that were not filled and we are waiting on the company to call to say that they are ready. If those few do not go home today, they will go home tomorrow. We do have a contingency plan for Friday pending rain. We will move indoors in the cafeteria. It will not be as big as an outdoor field day, but we hope to provide a fun experience for our students in case of rain.
